 Your access to and use of this website, as  well as all related websites operated by EMBASSY SETTLEMENT SERVICES (the “Company”) (which includes https://www.jointheembassy.com (collectively the “Site”) is subject to the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Use”) and all applicable laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. 

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and browsing the Site, you accept, without limitation or qualification, these Terms of Use. You represent and warrant that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence.

2. Intellectual Property and Limited License

You agree that the Site and all content, including videos, training materials, products, and services (collectively the “Content”) are the property of the Company. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Company grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the Site for personal, non-commercial use. No Content may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without express written permission.

3. Trademarks and Copyright

All trade names and trademarks, including "Join the Embassy," "The Embassy," and "The Settlement System." are the property of the Company. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited and may violate copyright and trademark laws.

4. NO PROFESSIONAL IMMIGRATION ADVICE

CRITICAL NOTICE: The Company is not a law firm and is not a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC).

  • General Information: All Content regarding Canadian immigration, Express Entry, or visa processes is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for legal advice.

  • No Representation: The Company does not provide legal representation or assist in the completion of government forms.

  • Independent Verification: Immigration laws change frequently. You are responsible for verifying all information on the official IRCC website.

  • Paid Membership: Payment for membership is for access to community features and settlement resources, not for the provision of immigration advice.

5. Accuracy of Information

While the Company uses reasonable efforts to include accurate and up-to-date information, the Company makes no warranties as to its accuracy. The Company assumes no liability for errors or omissions in the Content.

6. Internet Agreements and Consumer Rights (Ontario)

If you purchase a membership or digital product on this Site:

  • Disclosure: The total price, including applicable HST, will be displayed before purchase.

  • Confirmation: You will receive a written copy of your "Internet Agreement" (transaction receipt and terms) via email within 15 days of purchase.

  • Cancellation: In accordance with the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, you may have specific cancellation rights for online agreements. Please refer to our Refund Policy [Link] for details.

7. User Submissions

If you send comments or suggestions, they become the sole property of the Company. The Company shall be entitled to unrestricted use and dissemination of such submissions without compensation to you.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Site is subject to the Company’s Privacy Policy [Link]. The Company will not intentionally disclose personally identifying information except as required by law.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY THE LAWS OF ONTARIO, THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR ACCESS TO THE SITE. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU, IF ANY, FOR ACCESSING THE SITE IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS. SOME JURISDICTIONS (INCLUDING ONTARIO) DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN EXCLUSIONS OF WARRANTIES; THEREFORE, SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

You agree to indemnify and hold the Company harmless from any claims, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of the Site, or your violation of any law.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. 12. Severability and Revision
